Once again, Blogger has let me down and stopped letting me scoot my pics to where I want them...and with one left. Soooo frustrating! So, this should have been the last pic at the bottom.
My Little Miss Ella has decided to grow up just a little bit more. Her beautiful strawberry blond hair has been getting longer and longer everyday. I am one who likes my children's hair done and Ella had left me in a bit of a quandry. Her hair isn't long enough to do any girlish hair-dos that I am accustomed to and it has grown too long to just have a curl on top and the biggest problem is that she REFUSES to have a headband on. I figured it was just a matter of time before it happened (due to the overwhelming number of mothers that had came up to me, complimented Ella on her bow and then told me that their daughters had refused to keep them on...*collective sigh*). I had thought about putting a little "spout" pony in her hair...but let's just say that her cheeks are a little too healthy for that look to work right now. So, I decided to put a little gel in her hair and curl it all over. I had forgotten how curly her hair can get with a little help. It has seemed to work and I think has turned out pretty darn cute. The only problem is that I have a drawer full of ginormous bows that she isn't wearing (and won't work with this look). Sooo, drum roll please...I get to buy even more bows. To say that I like to do this is an understatement...I l.o.v.e. buying bows. So, I headed down to the boutique in town and was able to start the purchasing of small bows (not too small, after all I AM a Holyoak ;) It has been fun watching my sweet baby turn into a nearly toddler.
Isn't she a cutie-patootie?

I am--I was pretty excited (it looks great with Ella coloring). So, mostly for my sis' benefit, I took some pics of my little girl sittin' pretty.

Love the bow and sundress in the pics! She looks like a little doll!
What a beautiful, beautiful girl! I just love her hair! And what a smile!
oK, SO I read the missed post...your boys are so cute! You and Phillip are such wonderful parents-very concerned with your children's wants...I need to be more like that. We'll have to take my boys bowling some time, too. I'm impressed with your little guys' swimming abilities. I'll need to get my boys in, especially next year.
Okay, now to comment on miss Ella Bella...she is a DOLL! I'm serious, this isn't just a loving Auntie! Her cheeks don't look too "healthy" for this do, that's for sure! I can't believe how much hair she has! I'm totally jealous on behalf of my youngest!!! The same color, you're right! I love the bow! It is such a perfect size! I'm putting Gunner in a new seat when we get Gav his new one...I love you all! Give your cutie pa-tooties kisses from their Auntie! Thanks for the picture update on Ella, I need my niecy/nephew fix!
PS...I love your new blog background. Way cute! Kit wants me to change up mine again...we'll see!
Ella is adorable and I love the big bow. I can't wait until baby Olivia comes and I can put big bows on her head.
She is SO adorable! On my goodness, I love her happy smile! :o)
Soooo cute! It just makes her look all sassy-like. Love the big girl seat too. It's definitely a throne fit for a princess!
How fun to shop for bows! My friend makes them and I made her make me some for my sister's wedding to match their dresses. It was so fun...she even made my son a bow tie! I love it;) I love the strawberry blonde hair. Mine all have the same color "golden silk" or light brown.
I hear ya on the hair issues! Pearl refuses to keep anything in her hair. No matter how tight I put a ponytail in or how much hair gel/hairspray I use, it doesn't fail that she rips it out and by the end of the day it doesn't even look like I've attempted to make her presentable. Hopefully your little girl cooperates better.
Stephanie,
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. When I get a hankerin' to see my beautiful grandchildren and find out what they are up to, I know I'll find the latest here. Give them all kisses for me and an extra one for my Phillip.
Love you all,
G-ma Humphrey
How cute!! I love bows too! Dont you love putting your babies in their first big car seat...I think it makes them feel big and they love that and its definitely a mom moment... Your kids are precious!
Adorable! I love her sweet hair- I can't wait to have a girl, she will be all bowed-out. But she will also probably not want to wear bows (or pink) just my luck. Congrats on the move to the big car seat! How fantastic!
I wish I had a girl to dress up and make pretty. She's a cutie Stephanie. Gets it from her mom!
Yeah for girls! Aren't they fun?!! Unfortunately my Madison doesn't like her hair messed with. I know I feel so much more comfortable that my kids have taken swim lessons. We had private lessons and their teacher made sure they knew if they fell into a pool they turn right around and go back to the side. I still NEVER take my eyes off them while they are in the pool.
She's such a cutie! Bella already outgrew her infant carrier. She has what I call, the la-z-boy care seat. I wish my car seat were so comfy!
